Abstract
- The article looks into Olivier Rolin's 2014 work "Le Météorologue," which is based on the research he conducted in Soviet Union, and tells the story of Joseph Stalin's chief meteorologist Alexeï Féodossiévitch Vangengheim, who was falsely accused of espionage and sabotage in 1934. It notes the testimonial narratives employed by Rolin about the Holocaust and the Nazi Occupation of France. It also looks into debates on the legacy of Soviet Communism.
