Abstract: Spinosol A (1) and spinosol B (2) were isolated as new steroids from the chloroform soluble fraction of Capparis spinosa. The structures of both 1 and 2 were elucidated with the help of chemical tests and sophisticated spectroscopic techniques (1D and 2D NMR, EIMS, HREIMS).
