The aim of this study is to examine the measures taken by the Azerbaijani and Turkish banks, and thus the banking sector, against global shocks in the framework of the Basel criteria. Taking into account the minimum level of 12%, which is determined by the Central Bank and 8%, which is accepted as an international field, it can be seen that the capital adequacy of the country's banks is well above the competence of the international Basel criteria, while the economic growth and development has been achieved in the last two decades.
