Abstract

The article presents the author’s views on the ways for political science scholars to interact with the public. The author offers various examples of time consuming activities such as engaging in intellectual debates on Facebook, Twitter, writing op-eds, blogging, conducting an interview, assisting community organizations, university activism. Risks involved in engaging with the public such as censorship, risk for marginalized groups, and offensive feedback from anonymous individuals are also discussed.
