Gli Acta Alexandrinorum: studio preliminare per una nuova edizione critica.

This paper aims at providing a general overview on the papyri preserving the Acta Alexandrinorum, dealing as it does with their origin, state of preservation and contents, as well as with the history of research since the time they were found and edited. Moreover, the paper delves into such issues as the dating of the writings and their graphic types. An analysis of the literary aspects of the Acta and their historical relevance for our understanding of the Jewish presence in Egypt during the first centuries of the Common Era is also proposed.
