Lymphangiogenesis in Chronic Rejection and Coronary Allograft Vasculopathy: An Emerging Diagnostic and Therapeutic Target?

The article offers information on the role of the lymphatic system in the modulation of cardiac disease, leading to an enhanced interest in the potential therapeutic manipulation of cardiac lymphangiogenesis. Information on chronic rejection and cardiac allograft vasculopathy as well as the modulation of the cardiac lymphatic response to injury to attenuate disease is presented.
