In order to understand the reason for the change in Ergonomics Societies name towards ergonomics and human factors, a research on the journal Ergonomics has been conducted. Two quinquennial of Ergonomics journal abstracts (1994-1998 and 2008-2013) (total 1306 abstracts) have been analysed. Five words (performance, human factors, efficiency, ergonomics, health) have been searched by software T- Lab. 7.0 in order to study correspondence analysis, word associations, co-occurrences. Words dispersion and statistical significant increase of "performance" "human factors" associated with "ergonomics" and "health" associated to productivity in the last period are shown. Ergonomics is changing and its change is building a distance with the original focus on health. A need to put well-being at the center of the interdisciplinary approach is discussed in order to protect the most vulnérables. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
