Among the popular public broadcasting figures who were affected by the movement were Garrison Keillor, Leonard Lopate, Jonathan Schwartz, and John Hockenberry. WNYC, a non-profit, noncommercial, public radio station, lost 577 members due to news about Lopate and Schwartz.
