Abstract

Of the three words that make up the title of this work, what stands out most in the 13th century is politics, which is understood as “the science and art of governing a state." Also it must be taken into account that in this period, the religious experience of St. Francis of Assisi began, grew and spread. Clearly, the evangelical witness of the Poverello is not political in the strict sense, but his writings and his works have political implications, when applied and implemented in the social and personal realities, it is about peace that Jesus proposed. And Francis, as we know him, addressed it to the common people and to the ruling classes of the Church and of the society at that time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
