Relative survival reaches a plateau in hairy cell leukemia: a population-based analysis in The Netherlands.

The article presents information on a research on the treatment for hairy cell leukemia (HCL) and the overall survival (OS) of patients in The Netherlands. The authors collected details on HCL patients diagnosed between 1989 and 2015 from the Netherlands Cancer Registry (NCR). The topics include the methodology followed, the strength and limitation of the study. It revealed that the majority of HCL patients in The Netherlands can enjoy a normal life expectancy.
