Abstract
- The article discusses developments in the treatment of the eye disease called glaucoma as of March 2018. Also cited are the advancement of the new drugs latanoprostene bunod from Bausch + Lomb/Nicox and netarsudil from Aerie Pharmaceuticals into the research and development pipeline, the therapeutic areas being analyzed including neuroprotective agents, optic nerve regeneration, and gene therapy, and the comment by Dr. Joel S. Schuman on the developments.
