Abstract
- The article talks about the Kamayurá indigenous tribe in Brazil and their practice of killing children born with disabilities, children of single mothers, and twins and efforts made by the government to eradicate these practices through a bill currently under consideration in the upper House of Brazil's National Congress. Topics discussed include the bill being condemned by academics and indigenous rights groups in the country stating the customs were developed long ago to ensure group survival.
