Abstract
- The article discusses the use of composite right/left-handed (CRLH) transmission lines and stepped impedance resonators (SIRs) on low-cost circuit materials for smaller antennas. CRLH transmission lines and SIRs can reportedly cover several frequency bands for quarter-wavelength and half-wavelength antenna configurations. Also explored are the use of metamaterials in high-frequency design and the impact of resonance on antennas.
