- The article explores the alleged exploitation of poor clients by bail bondsmen in the U.S. A particular focus is given to the case of Ronald Egana who was arrested and returned to prison after failing to pay his bondman. Bond companies and their agents are criticized for offering bail loans to desperate customers at high prices.
