Abstract
- The article analyzes the plan of U.S. President Donald Trump to scrap the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) brokered by his predecessor Barack Obama in 2015. Trump is criticized for appointing John Bolton as his national security adviser. The impact of the scrapping of the deal on the reputation of the U.S. in the Middle East is discussed, as well as the concern that Trump's action risks war.
