Abstract: The article discusses the relation between firearms ownership and a Protestant Christian theology of sin. Topics include psychological effects of gun ownership, the significance of the biblical text Romans 7 for an understanding of sin, and the need to reduce gun ownership in the U.S. in relation to a theology of sin.
