Abstract
- The article presents the author's views on labour and parliamentary politics in the early Free State of Ireland. Topics discussed include the historical analysis of the Irish Labour Party’s parliamentary launch; the party’s participation in the post-revolutionary Irish general election of 1922; and the abstention of anti-Treatyites that provided greater legitimacy to the parliament.
