Abstract

In 1994, Colourscan was the largest prepress company in the world; its Singapore plant employed more than 600 people. But with technological changes now sweeping through the industry, it has reduced its size and has entered the printing end of the business. Today, it runs three large presses in Heidelberg, Germany and is still considered the largest prepress company, with 300 employees in Singapore and 150 in the Malaysian prepress branch.
