Abstract
- The article reports on the concern of U.S. oil companies on the outcome of the 2018 presidential election in Mexico. The leading candidate, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, wants to reverse policies in energy production and consumption entered by the U.S. and Mexico. He has promised to end oil exports by 2022 and to build two refineries to process crude for domestic consumption.
