Abstract: The article offers information about implementing ventricular tachycardia (VT) ablation in patients with heart disease and with implantable cardioverter defibrillators. It reports that such life-saving therapies do not prevent arrhythmia recurrences and presents randomized trials which demonstrated the efficacy of both sotalol and amiodarone in reducing VT recurrences.
