Abstract

The article reports three companies that include technology company Apple, aluminum makers Alcoa and Rio Tinto, in addition to the Quebec and Canadian governments, will invest $145 million combined to commercialize a new process called Elysis for aluminum production that generates oxygen as a by-product and will license the process to the aluminum industry.
