Patients with balance problems often complain about dizziness and vision disorders. The ability to keep vision stable while moving is one of the key factors which enable performing daily activities. This process can be very seriously interfered by vestibular abnormalities and thus cause discomfort to the patient. The function of Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex (VOR) is to stabilize vision while viewing moving objects or during fast head movements. The VOR evaluation is an important element in diagnosing dizziness and balance disorders. This paper provides basic information about the functioning of the VOR system responsible for maintaining static vision and vision stability.
