- The article informs on efforts taken by American Medical Association in fostering change within the medical community reading the treatment of obesity as a disability in the U.S. Topics discussed include enactment of American with Disabilities Act for preventing the rights of disabled individuals; ethical aspect of excluding obesity as a disability; and improving public health in the country.
