Abstract
- The article focuses on ways to retract the chorda tympani anteriorly keeping held away while performing stapedectomy and mentions that the chorda, stapes and process of incus are identified and curettage of scutum is performed when necessary. Topics discussed include wick absorbs excess blood from all superior cut edges, placing Pope wick between the long process of incus, and the nerve and risk of traction or compression injury to the nerve.
