Abstract: The article focuses on a study on the Baltic Sea as a time machine to observe consequences and mitigation of future coastal perturbations, due to its unique combination of ecosystem deterioration and an early history of multistressor disturbance. It refers to rapid progression of global pressures demonstrated by the Baltic Sea.
