Abstract
- The article discusses study which investigated the accuracy of liver stiffness measurement (LSM) during direct acting antiviral (DAA) therapy to estimate clinically significant portal hypertension (CSPH) and to predict long-term outcome in compensated advanced chronic liver disease (cACLD) patients after obtaining sustained virologic response (SVR). Topics covered include a reduction of LSM during treatment, and the role of HPV-induced inflammation on hepatic vascular resistance.
