Non-"Western" Liberalism and the Resilience of the Liberal International Order.

The article explores the relationship between non-Western liberalism and the liberal international order. A particular focus is given to the views of U.S. President Donald Trump on the democratization of countries that had no experience or interest in becoming a Western democracy. Other topics discussed include the reality of liberalism in the non-western world, the spread of democracy to Eastern Europe following the Cold War and the adoption of enduring liberal institutions by some non-Western states.
