Abstract

The article discusses the Korean cultural phenomenon known as muk-bang, which involves live broadcasting of a person eating while interacting with viewers. Topics include the relation of muk-bang to feminine beauty ideals of thinness, the relation of the phenomenon to cultural shaming, and videos featuring Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR).
