Abstract
- This paper studies the liberal trade policy between 1820 and 1869, marked by the debate prohibitionism/protectionismliberalism, and the opening of the Spanish economy during that period. It concludes that in spite of the prohibitionist/protectionist resistances, the Spanish economy followed a model of economic development open abroad. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
