- The article reports on the participation of Chinese electronic commerce company Alibaba and investment holding conglomerate Tencent in venture-capital investment rounds. It explores the implications of the success of Alibaba and Tencent for technological startups and entrepreneurship. The operations of venture-capital (VC) firms in China and the U.S. are compared.
