Abstract
- The article deals with the negative impact of a fatal accident that killed pedestrian Elaine Herzberg in Tempe, Arizona on the autonomous vehicle program of ridesharing company Uber. Uber decided to suspend its self-driving car tests in several cities, including Tempe and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Uber chief executive officer Dara Khosrowshahi is planning to partner with other companies on autonomous technologies.
