Abstract

The article discusses about the use of Internet and online resources for teaching history and making the information available to the user. Compared to print publications, online resources are relatively cheap to produce, maintain, and expand. Although commercial publishers need to evaluate whether there is a national market for books they publish, it is possible for universities, schools and non-profit institutions to make a major contribution to the study of history by operating websites that contain documents recording the histories of their communities.
