Introduction to the Special Section on Nature-Inspired Algorithms for EMC and Signal and Power Integrity Applications.

The papers in this special section are focused on one aspect of the current technological wave. As we all know, nature-inspired (NI) computing and algorithms play an ever increasing role in problem solving by way of optimization, machine intelligence, data mining, and resource management. Nature has evolved over millions of years under a variety of harsh and severe environments and, thus, provides a rich source of inspiration for designing algorithms and approaches to tackle real-world challenging EMC and Signal & Power Integrity (SI/PI) problems.
