Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 75-year-old male who was treated with cerebrospinal fluid vancomycin for community-acquired bacterial meningitis/ventriculitis. Topics discussed include the intraventricular (IVT) antibiotic dosing and monitoring of the patient, the assessment of the external ventricular drain (EVD) output, and the proposed dose adjustment strategies.
