Abstract
- The article reports on intensification of the trade war between the U.S. and China as of September 2018. Alibaba Group chairman Jack Ma believes that the trade war will last longer beyond the term of U.S. President Donald Trump. Tariffs on 200-billion dollar worth of Chinese goods were imposed by the Trump administration which prompted China to retaliate. The decision of Ma to back off from a pledge he made to create one million jobs in the is also cited.
