LA MEDICINA EN HUARTE DE SAN JUAN: Práctica clínica versus filosofía natural.

This article analyzes the ideas of Juan Huarte on the most appropriate "mind" for medicine, in particular the supposed opposition between the rational capacities producing the theory and practice of this art, as well as the particular disposition of Jewish people for medical practice. It also examines Huarte's relationship with medical activity in light of his accounts and other sources that tell us of his medical training in Alcalà and his later professional practice.
