The relevance of the study depends on addressing to the issue of didactic instruments for academic knowledge co-management in the industry-university system. In this regard, the article is intended to reveal the didactic potential of multilingual ontology-based Virtual Learning Environments compared to hypertext resources. The relevant literature is reviewed. The Virtual Learning Environment Onto.plus developed for transport universities is described. To determine its efficiency an experiment was conducted.
