Abstract

The article discusses the flexible ureteroscopy (URS0 which has enabled the treatment of tortuous ureteral stones, but is not available worldwide due to high cost, skill dependence and long operative time, making it challenging for hospitals where it is unavailable. It states that ureterolithotomy is the available method for treating stones in tortuous ureters but is more invasive and is associated with greater postoperative morbidity.
