Abstract
- Primary stability is considered one of the crucial pre‐requisites for achieving osseointegration of dental implants but recently many comparative studies have shown that the secondary biological stability does not depend on the increase of the primary mechanical stability. The implant's micro‐structures and the remodeling of the hard tissues around implants are essential for achieving and maintaining the osseointegration, moreover in the cases in which bone augmentation is required.
