Abstract

Discussed by Jenkins (2013) and Scolari (2016), transmedia literacy provides participation, content production, and critical public understanding. That is, when navigating different platforms, correlating to the transmedia strategies with the main media, the interacting agent performs an attentive and polysemic reading of the fictional universe. From this theoretical scope, this article aims at analyzing the Twitter postings of The X-Files' interacting viewers during the launch of the 10th season's transmediation actions. In this context, the tweets will help us to reflect on the concept of transmedia literacy and how it stimulates the public's multilateralism. It is concluded that the Find The X action drives the discussion, the analysis, the interconnections between different narrative contexts and the production of content. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
