Abstract
- The complex Mo0(diphos)(CO)(NO)(dtc) with diphos=1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane and dtc-=dimethyldithiocarbamate shows a longest-wavelength absorption at <f>λmax=520</f> nm which is assigned to a (dtc- <f>→</f> NO+) ligand-to-ligand charge transfer (LLCT) transition. LLCT excitation leads to the release of NO and dtc which form a blue species (<f>λmax=690</f> nm). The photolysis proceeds with <f>φ=0.018</f> at <f>λirr=546</f> nm. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
