Abstract

To evaluate the relationship between uterine artery (UtA) Doppler measured in early labour, cerebroplacental ratio (CPR) and perinatal outcomes in a cohort of uncomplicated singleton term pregnancies. Umbilical artery (UA), middle cerebral artery (MCA) and UtA pulsatility index (PI) were measured on admission for early labour. Data on a wide cohort of low-risk term pregnancies in early labour have shown that an increased UtA PI MoM is inversely correlated to CPR MoM but not associated with any of the considered adverse perinatal outcomes.
