Abstract

Currently, CPU design is usually realized on the simulation platform of Quartus 11, but the data simulation interface is too simple and difficult to analyze the logic relation among the instructions and data. In this paper, a CPU design process based on LogiSim platform is realized and a flexible and convenient simulation interface is designed to analyze data. By comparison with the Quartus 11 platform, the result shows that the simulation interface in the method of this paper can be designed conveniently and is easy to comprehend the data relation, which is helpful to arouse the enthusiasm of the student and train their ability of logic design.
