Laboratories of colleges and universities are important places for scientific research, experimental teaching and production practice. Laboratory safety has become more and more valued by the departments of security and management of colleges and universities. And laboratory safety supervision, which is a significant means to monitor a laboratory safety status, has also drawn increasing attention. This article states a comprehensive and systematic exposition of the laboratory safety supervision system from the aspects of system connotation, operating mechanism and other factors. Moreover, the article indicates the significance of laboratory safety supervision system in laboratory safety management in universities, and expounds the supervisory role of laboratory safety supervision in safety responsibility system. Combined with the current laboratory safety management in universities and colleges, in order to enhance the management level of safety management departments and improve the safety management of teachers and students, enhance the ability of teaching and research, the article has given a number of operable suggestions on promoting the safety responsibility system.
