Abstract
- Graphical abstract Two new Cd(II) coordination polymers (CPs) were synthesized under hydrothermal condition, CPs 1 – 2 exhibit sql topology. Abstract Two new Cd(II) supramolecular coordination polymers (CPs) formulated as [Cd(L1)(DCTP)] n (1) and {[Cd(L2)(HBTC)(H 2 O)]·H 2 O} n (2) [H 2 DCTP = 2,5-dichloroterephthalic acid, H 3 BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, L1 = 1,3-bis(2-methylbenzimidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene and L2 = 1,2-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene] were hydrothermally synthesized. Both CPs exhibit 2D (4,4) layered structures and further extend into 3D supramolecular frameworks by π – π stacking interactions for CP 1 , O H⋯O classic hydrogen bonding interactions for CP 2 , respectively. The luminescence and photocatalytic properties of CPs 1 – 2 for the degradation of methylene blue also presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
