Abstract

The paper presents the method of assessing the efficiency of technology mapping for logic blocks contained in FPGA. Effective technology mapping is necessary to search for such a decomposition path that will give efficient solutions both in terms of the number of blocks and the number of logic levels. Using non-disjoint decomposition is the key element that makes the solutions more effective. However, it is not always profitable. In an each single stage of decomposition, there is a necessity of assessing the efficiency of mapping in the blocks that have given configurable abilities. Known in literature, the methods of determining this cofactor do not take non-disjoint decomposition into account. In the paper, the authors propose the effective method of determining efficiency cofactor that takes non-disjoint decomposition into account. The effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed experimentally. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
