Abstract
- The article discusses the argument that fair repair legislation is not fair for manufacturers in the U.S. It offers an overview of the history of the electronic device repair market. The sufficiency of federal copyright in solving issues in the manufacturing industry is reviewed. Also discussed is the need to reconcile the proposed legislation's deficits while meeting consumer needs with adequate manufacturer protection.
