Abstract

The article deals with a ruling by Judge Reed O'Connor of the Federal District Court of Fort Worth, Texas that struck down the entire U.S. Affordable Care Act. O'Connor argued that the law's mandate requiring people to buy helath insurance is unconstitutional. The ruling, which poses a significant threat to the survival of the law, is expected to be contested by Democrats in several states.
