- The article offers the author's insights on topics related to fear. Topics mentioned include the views of philosopher Thomas Hobbes on the role of fear in establishing the authority of a leader, the social aspects of fear, and the relation of fear to morality. Also mentioned was the wisdom learned through the fear of God, according to Judeo-Christian tradition.
