Abstract
- This paper presents the creation of civic educational processes in nonformal contexts, using the streets as a shared space, among youngsters from marginalized neighborhoods in the city of Torreon, in the Mexican northern-center region. After reviewing the state of the art of the concepts of citizenship and nonformal education, it is posed an intervention strategy with these youngsters by creating graffiti murals, in the frame of brisk dialogs leading to reach consensus as a way to operate the whole creative process. The outcomes achieved, besides the murals, are directed to enhancing the youngsters' possibilities and responsibility as individuals and as a group before the collectivity to which they belong.
